In 1937, the National Conference for Christians and Jews (NCCJ) was founded on a bedrock principle: open, respectful dialogue between people of diverse backgrounds fosters stronger communities. This ethos continues to guide us as Nevada’s oldest human relations organization dedicated to high school students. With an impressive legacy spanning almost 40 years in the state, our organization has nurtured enduring partnerships. These include strong ties with the Clark County School District (CCSD), various non-profit entities, businesses, and individual supporters. These relationships reflect our deep commitment to inclusivity and understanding across a spectrum of communities.
Throughout its history, Anytown Las Vegas has consistently adapted and grown to address the evolving challenges of different eras. While initially focused on bridging divides in race, ethnicity, and religion, our scope has broadened significantly. Today, we also delve into issues encompassing gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and the dynamics of various social groups. This expansion reflects our recognition of the complex tapestry of human identity and the importance of addressing intersectional issues.
