Camp Anytown’s 2023 fall session has been canceled. The aftermath of Storm Hilary caused flash flooding and severe erosions to the roads in Mt. Charleston. The Transportation Department and the U.S. Forest Service have expressed that these impacted areas will remain inaccessible to visitors until at least Oct. 1.
We have been closely monitoring the situation; regrettably, the issues are more extensive than anticipated. In addition, Clark County has canceled all Camp Lee reservations throughout September and the first two weeks of October.
Given the uncertainties and the inability to ensure the timely repair of the roads, along with indications that Clark County may close Camp Lee in October, the decision to cancel our fall camp became inevitable. Please know that we are currently in the process of notifying all volunteers, delegates, and schools.
